Purple Pines Leg Warmers

Purple Pines Leg Warmers

These fun & easy leg warmers use the Gaugetastic technique to create the look of snow covered pines on a simple stockinette fabric. Most of the project is simple knitting in the round with all the really interesting bits saved for the last round of the project’s body. Because of this, these leg warmers are a perfect project for taking to knit night (whether it’s in person or virtual)!

Feel free to play around with your stash for the contrast colors, slub yarn & boucle-style yarns can add a fun dimension to this project as well. This pattern was born from me needing a quick last-minute gift for my sister so everything in this sample pair was made from stash. You can also make these legwarmers any length you like by knitting the body to 1.25” (3 cm) shorter than the finished length. At that point you can add the pine trees and finish as instructed.
