ZKN Everlasting Socks KaL!

Hello!

Happy #stashurday everyone! This week instead of a new stash addition, I’m actually highlighting the stash yarn I’m using for a new Knit-a-Long. (You gotta use existing stash at some point, right? 😉)

I’m double dipping into 2 a-longs with this project...

The Stockinette Zombies are hosting a KaL from Aug-Sep for @paperdaisycreations beautiful Everlasting socks with a cast-on party today at 1 pm CST. Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun at any point up till the end of September. See the Stockinette Zombies' site for full details.

And today is also the start of @shelbeyandthebookclub‘s August book, American Spy by Lauren Wilkinson. So I stirred the stash a bit and came up with these skeins inspired by the book cover:

- London Fog (grey) from T&H Fiber Works

- Pop the Cork (yellow) from Colorful Eclectic

- It Fell Like Lightning out of a Clear Blue Sky (blue) from T&H Fiber Works

All have a bit of sparkle to them & I’m planning on using the yellow as the MC w/ grey as the majority of the CC. Since there’s just a bit of the blue on the cover, I’m planning on making a 1 pattern repeat stripe of the blue below the cuff and just above the toes with the rest of the CC done in the grey.

I’m so excited for everything about this project! The book sounds amazing (I listened to a sample of the audio & the narrator is great, too), the project is one that I’ve been wanting to cast on since I met Lisa, and I get to hang out with all my zombie friends & watch their projects grow!

So many wonderful things all combining together... oh, and did I mention that today is the start of my vacation? Best. Vacation. Start. Ever!
