The Wee Bit Scottish Socks are now available from YumiYarns.com!
This fun sock pattern is available in 9 sizes: Child’s Small - Men’s Large & features an all-over plaid mosaic knitting pattern in a cuff-down construction with forethought-afterthought heels. It’s written for a solid & varigated yarn, but looks really lovely with high-contrast semi-solids as well.
This is an intermediate pattern, but don’t shy away from it if you haven’t tried mosaic (slip-stitch) knitting before. The most important thing to remember is to keep your tension even & to have fun with them!
Have fun & happy knitting!

Notes: Pattern includes links to relevant tutorials. Tutorials are also posted to the the YumiYarns Tutorials page. The needle size listed is the needle size I regularly use, but I am a very loose knitter so you may need to go up 1-2 needle sizes to get a fabric that you like. Most knitters do well with US size 2 (2.75 mm) & if you are a tight or newer knitter you may want to try a US size 3 (3.25 mm). If you know your standard needle size for sock knitting, use that instead of what I have listed (the size that gives you gauge). Make sure that your beginning of round marker is different from your other markers so you can tell the difference. Locking markers are recommended .
