What Is the Splash Pad Party?

The Splash Pad Party is the summer make-a-long hosted in the Down Cellar Studio Podcast community! New to the party? Here’s the basic run-down:
It’s a low-key summer make-a-long focused on small, portable projects perfect for toting along to the splash pad, pool, beach, park or playground (or wherever you happen to find yourself this time of year).
Participants earn entries for prize drawings by knitting or crocheting 50-200g projects and of course there are options for additional entries if you use sponsor products.
No weighing projects. For this KAL/CAL we’re keeping it easy. Round up or down: if you use the majority of a 50g, 100g, 200g skein count it as such. I’m not bringing my yarn scale to the pool, so I don’t expect anyone else to either.
This make-along is what you make it. Want to rack up the entries, use ALL the sponsor products and be entered to win in every contest? Do it. Want something laid back? A place to chat with your friends, share your projects and get some help along the way? Great! Either way- we’re the group for you.

Where Do I Register?
To join the fun simply pop over to DownCellarStudio.com, read the Official Rules, and fill out the Sign-up Form. All of it can be done off -Ravelry so if you aren't comfortable using Ravelry anymore you can still play along and have lots of crafting fun this Summer (and win prizes)!
How Do I Win Prizes?
Simple & Straight Forward
Knit, crochet or spin items that use approximately 50g-200g worth of yarn and submit them using the Summer Celebration Google form on DownCellarStudio.com. Prizes are chosen randomly throughout the event so the more you finish, the better your chances!
WiPs Count!
If you're also trying to clean out the Work-in-Progress bin this Summer, here's your chance to get rewarded for your finishing efforts. As long as you finish your project and submit it before 8/5/22, it counts toward possible prizes!
Group Participation
You can also get Participation Prizes just by posting and chatting with the group! Each post counts as an entry so make new friends & get social poolside!
On Ravelry - You can join the DCS Poolside Chat thread where you'll meet fellow crafters and have fun hanging out together.
Off Ravelry - Use #splashpadparty22 on Instagram (with a public profile) to be eligible for participation prizes monthly. Make sure to follow the hashtag too if you'd like to see what everyone else is working on and make some new crafting friends this Summer.
Support the Sponsors
You'll get bonus points when you use Sponsor Products this Summer! Just use an item from one of the listed Sponsors for this year's event & include the item info when you submit your finished object. You can use multiple items to stack your bonuses, but make sure to read the Official Rules for all the details.
