Special Release: The Baymen Shawl!

This shawl is part of the Club Yumi: Loving Local 2018 Trio of Patterns & it will only be available as an individual pattern through November 30, 2018. After that it will be locked & won't become available again until January 2019.

Named for the wood cutters who originally harvested Logwood in Belize, the Baymen Shawl is perfect for those busy yarns that we all love but don’t know how to use. It begins in one corner & uses increases placed along the center of the shawl to create waves of mesh and garter-stitch reminiscent of the rivers where Logwood trees prefer to grow. The shawl is edged with a bobble-bind-off to give it a fun finish & add a bit of texture without going overboard. Instructions are included for making the shawl with as much or as little yarn as you have available so feel free to pick a yarn that you love and cast on!

(The Loon Colorway from @gardenwoolanddye is made from a natural Logwood dye & was the inspiration for this pattern.)

Any projects you make from paid-for patterns from these lovely designers will work as your entry into the #giftalong2018 contests so that means that the Baymen Shawl would fit beautifully in the Shawls & Stoles KaL/CaL thread. Come join us for some fun-filled holiday crafting!
