Saltwater Tides Pattern Release!

Hello!

How could these socks not be inspired by the ocean when they’re made from such a lovely mermaid-themed colorway from Rising Tide Fiber Company?! Chevrons mimic the waves lapping at the shore and if you look closely, you can spot the mythical mermaids waving their tails at you between the crests. Depending on if you knit them cuff-down or toe-up, the mermaids will either be swimming up your legs (cuff-down) or diving down towards your toes (toe-up). The pattern includes variations for both options and uses a short-row heel along with a standard wedge toe, but feel free to substitute your favorites as needed. This pattern is written for 3 sizes: Child – Adult XXLarge. It is a bit stretchy though, so you can adjust the length to add additional sizes.
