The Holiday Recovery Shawl features mostly cozy garter-stitch with a mitered construction and is reminiscent of a patchwork quilt in a non-traditional (but very wearable) shawl shape. This is a fun, light-hearted pattern to ring in the New Year & use up some of that pretty yarn we've all got lying around. You can make the full size as written or stop when it's the size you prefer, it's completely up to you.
I've used my 2020 advent calendar from Toad Hollow for my sample, but feel free to use the fingering-weight yarn that is speaking to you. (Mini-skeins, stash, or scraps are all great choices!) The pattern is designed to work well with everything from tonals to variegated colorways so just pick yarns that will bring you joy to work with.
