North Country Fiber Fair... In-Person!

Step by Step 1/1 LslT RS (Left-slip-Twist) Knitting Tutorial

Come Take a Class With Me!

Hi, friends!

I'm going to be teaching in-person this September 16-18 at the 30th Annual North Country Fiber Fair held in Watertown, SD. Registration just opened yesterday so I wanted to make sure you guys knew about it right away since space is limited.

This year I'll be teaching 3 classes:

I just taught all 3 of these classes at the Zombieknitpacolypse retreat this past weekend & everyone really seemed to enjoy our time together in class. They left excited to continue their projects & I had multiple people afterwards tell me that they wished they would have been able to join the class. I love teaching these classes & I know they'll sell out so grab your spot sooner rather than later if you can, I'd love to see you in person!

The North Country Fiber Fair event itself is also just really fun. It's a bit more rustic than a retreat at a hotel, but the attendees, vendors & teachers are always wonderful. The best part, though, is the massive fiber circle located in the main room near the registration booth. People bring all sorts of projects to work on over the weekend: spinning, knitting, crochet, weaving, needle felting, etc. It's a great way to meet new friends & maybe even discover a new craft!

Most years my two best friends and I make a girls weekend out of it since it's held only a few hours from Sioux Falls so we can drive up together Friday morning & leave together Sunday evening. Watertown is also only a few hours drive from Minneapolis and North Dakota as well so it's a surprisingly great location for a fiber event. There's always a nice blend of folks from multiple states and the relaxed atmosphere means that you can actually get to meet folks & get to know each other during the event.

Lol, this quick update got a lot longer than I intended. Needless to say, I'm very excited to be teaching again in-person at this year's event (Last year was virtual... and it was a lot of kicking my family out of the house whenever I had a class to teach. 😅) If you're able to, I'd love to see you at the event & whether you take a class with me or not let me know if you're there so we can meet for real!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, I'll see you soon.

Happy crafting!

Shaina ^_^
