Which Test Knit Pattern are You Interested In?
I'm looking for both experienced and inexperienced testers since some of my upcoming patterns are intended for beginners with certain stitches. Test knits are run through both emails and through threads on Ravelry (tester's preference) & testers always get a free copy of the tested pattern once it has been released. I have 3 upcoming patterns that have test knits starting this week, they're detailed briefly below. Full details will be shared via email.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the testers that I work with on a regular basis. I love the conversations & fun we have while the test knit is going on. It's like our own little secret knitting club. Most of my test knits have a 1 month window for completion, but there are some where I just need certain elements tested so those won't even take that long. I'll include my expectations for the test in each announcement & if one of the tests doesn't fit with your schedule there's no harm in turning down a call.
If you're even a little interested in testing but are unsure if you're qualified, please send me an email with your questions/concerns, I'd love to have you try it out. If you discover mid-test that it's not for you, there's no harm done. Just let me know how things are going so that I can make improvements for the next round.
Logwood Shawl
This is a triangular shawl that is intended to highlight a highly variegated fingering-weight yarn and can be worked until you run out of yarn (perfect for gradients or handspun as well). It begins in the corner & alternates between garter-stitch & mesh sections to create graphic slashes. The increases run along the middle sections of the shawl as new mesh sections are added and the final edge features a knitted-on bobble bind-off. I will be including a photo tutorial for the bobble bind-off as well & would appreciate feedback on that also.

Intergalactic Wrap
This is a 3-skein, fingering-weight wrap that begins life as a triangle shawl. The sides are worked separately after the initial triangle has been made, they are knit into “wings” that will create the final trapezoid shaping. The stitch patterns used are a combination of brioche rib and garter-stitch and they alternate between all three colors of yarn (kind of like a fade but different). There are tassles and button holes in the corners so that the wrap can be worn/styled multiple ways including as a cocoon shrug, a vest, a scarf or a traditional wrap. There is only one size for this pattern, but it's flexible with multiple body types/shapes & can fit as a shrug for up to a 60" (150 cm) bust.
When choosing yarns, select yarns that you like that look good together. You will only use 2 colors at a time at the most, but all colors will touch each other throughout the project. I suggest 1 light color, 1 medium color & 1 dark color. I used Three Irish Girls - Adorn Luxe.

At least 400 yds / 365 m each of 3 colors
(1200 yds / 1100 m total)

Indigo Shawl
This design is for a fingering-weight, semi-circular shawl based on the pi-shawl template. It incorporates 3 different lace patterns (including snow flowers & leaves), a garter-stitch border, garter-stitch stripes and a simple garter-stitch edging featuring the Icelandic Bind-Off technique. There will be a tutorial for the Icelandic BO & I would appreciate feedback on that as well. The pattern is written for 3 colors, but testing with a single color is an option as well. I'm open to more or less colors being used for testing, but I don't have requirements or instructions for other options so that would be up to the tester to play around with.
Yardage requirements:
50 yds / 45 m each of 3 colors
(150 yds / 135 m total if doing 1 color)
(100 yds / 90 m of C1 & 50 yds / 45 m of C2 if doing 2 colors)
