July's Featured Dyer: Merino y Vino!

I'm so thrilled to share with you all this month's featured indie dyer:

Merino y Vino!

Based out of Flagstaff, AZ, Lily creates a wide variety of fun colorways in both skeins and sock-blanks. She's a newer dyer, but has some of the most amazing sparkle yarn I've seen!

Don't forget to order your yarn so you can knit along with us!

You can find all of Merino y Vino's colors and bases in her Etsy shop:

For this month's sock pattern, El Verano Socks, you will need:

  • 40 - 202 yds (37 - 185 m) of Merino y Vino Fingering-Weight Yarn

(I used Sarah's Teal on the Sparkle base)

Hi, My name is Lily. I am an English teacher in Flagstaff, Arizona. I have a wonderful and supportive husband, Paul, a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler, Genevieve, and a dog named Mr. Darcy. I have been knitting since I was 8 years old, spinning yarn since I was 27, and I started dyeing yarn in 2020. I love the multitude of options available with the type of yarn, thickness, and color. My goal is to open a yarn café where people can come and craft, relax, and develop a welcoming community.
