Fasten Off Yarn a Long Sale 2021!

I'm so excited to finally be able to announce that I'm a participating designer in the Fasten Off Yarn a Long this year!! This is the second year of this wonderful off-Ravelry, accessibility-focused, inclusive crafting event. If you've been following me for awhile now you probably know that I celebrate Christmas and love every minute of it. (It was always my most favorite time of year when I worked retail. Crazy, I know, but I love the joy and chaos.) Not everyone celebrates the holidays, though, and with all the folks who can't/won't use Ravelry anymore this event feels particularly good to get to participate in and support.

Today marks the beginning of the fun & we're kicking things off with a massive sale! Every participating designer has patterns available off-Ravelry for 25% off now through Dec. 6. Just enter the coupon code: FO2021 on any of their sites to get the discount.

I'm adding a bit extra to my sale by including everything in both my YumiYarns.com shop and my Ravelry shop. (Yup, everything! Patterns, yarn, project bags, tools... it's all 25% off with the coupon code.)

Once you've got your patterns purchased, join us in the FOYAL Discord Server, on Twitter, or on Instagram (my personal favorite) for chatter, encouragement, fun, & prizes throughout the month of December! I hope to see you and your projects in the event this month, if you decide to cast-on any of my patterns and share pics to IG please tag me ( @yumiyarns ) because I'll be giving out a few prizes throughout the month independent of the ones given out by the FOYAL mods.

I've got a few patterns from my fellow FOYAL designers that I've got my eye on so I've got those posted below along with links to get them yourself plus a few other goodies I think you might like. If you want to see a searchable database of all the designers & discounted patterns you can check it out & start your shopping. (All links are off-Ravelry)

Have fun & happy knitting!

Shaina ^_^

Patterns that are Perfect for Advent Kits:

Tales of Childhood Hat Lace and Mosaic Colorwork Knitting Pattern

Starts at the corner (boomerang/Hitchhiker-style) so you can knit until you run out of yarn or it reaches a size you like. Shown here with a 13 mini-skein (20g) set.

Worked from the center-out in wedges so you get to decide the size of your shawl. For a 24 skein advent set, use 4 mini-skeins per wedge plus a full-sized accent color skein for the borders. Pattern includes a worksheet so that you can use any weight of yarn and any amount of yardage for this project (so both 10g or 20g minis will work). Shown here with 3 full-sized skeins of fingering-weight yarn in red, yellow, and grey as the accent.

Works with Fingering, Sport, or DK weight yarns and designed to use up minis or yarn scraps. The pattern includes instructions for a more traditional color-change stripe as well as info on making/using a Magic Ball with leftovers. (Or Advent minis!)
