Today I want to say thank you!
I was able to send an $82 donation to charity: water thanks to everyone's purchases of my patterns, kits & yarns from October 2018 - February 2019. Together we've provided clean, safe water to 2 people who didn't have access to it before.
This may not seem like a huge step, but it is. Just imagine if every time you needed water, you had to spend an entire day journeying to get water from a dirty stream only to have to cary the 40 lb water container back home afterwards. Think of how impactful removing that journey would be in your life. The amount of time that you would suddenly find yourself with. Time that can now be used for education, honing a craft to provide income to your family or even just getting a little more time to spend with your family instead of making a long and sometimes dangerous journey to fetch water.
I can't tell you guys how thrilled I am that we've been able to help to better the lives of others by doing what we love. We all know how much our crafting enhances our own lives, I'm so glad that we can use it to provide clean, safe water to those who need it.
If you'd like to contribute to our current campaign directly, you can do so at this page:
Otherwise, just keep purchasing YumiYarns patterns & kits. I'll tally up the total sales for each month and make a bulk donation equal to 10% of that month's sales.
Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart. Water is so crucial to survival & the knowledge that it can be provided so cheaply and easily in places that currently don't have access keeps me motivated to keep giving & encouraging others to give as well.
Please share this post and/or the campaign page so that we can spread the word.
Happy knitting!

A Little Background
Back in July 2018 I started a campaign for charity: water as a part of the #titsoutcollective movement & felt compelled to continue sending donations for 10% of every sale made through my Ravelry store & the Yumi Yarns Shop. I tend to be very skeptical of any organization that claims to be collecting money for a cause, but I feel 100% confident in supporting charity: water because they are all about transparency & they have private donors to cover operating costs. This means that every single dollar that is donated to them is being put to use in funding clean water sources for communities that are in need. The funds aren't being used to pay some guy's salary & they aren't disappearing into marketing funds, they're just helping people get clean water for everyday use.
I absolutely love that.
