Traveler Socks

Pack your bags and your favorite mini skeins, these socks are made for traveling! Mix and match your favorite colors in the striped chevron patterns of this easy to memorize stitch pattern. No matter which direction you choose to cast on with, the lace patterning will look the same. Have yourself a knitting adventure by making one sock cuff-down and journey back by making the second sock from the toe- up!

The pattern includes variations for both toe-up and cuff-down and uses a short-row heel along with a standard wedge toe, but feel free to substitute your favorites as needed.

This pattern is written for 4 sizes: Baby – Adult L. To make a custom fit, select the circumference you need & adjust the length as needed.

This purchase is for the single sock pattern only. Please visit the 2021 Indie Sock-a-Long page and register there if you are wanting to recieve this pattern & have a new sock pattern emailed to you the first Saturday of each month in 2021.

The needle size listed is the needle size I regularly use, but I am a very loose knitter so you may need to go up 1-2 needle sizes to get a fabric that you like. Most knitters do well with US size 2 (2.75 mm) & if you are a tight or newer knitter you may want to try a US size 3 (3.25 mm). If you know your standard needle size for sock knitting, use that instead of what I have listed (the size that gives you gauge).

Make sure that your beginning of round marker is different from your other markers so you can tell the difference. Locking markers are recommended .
