In Pattern Testing
I’m thrilled to announce that my newest pattern, the Magic Fringe Bandana, is ready for testing! If you’ve been looking for a quick yet striking accessory project, or if you love the idea of a fringe that magically appears as you knit, this pattern might be the perfect fit. The Magic Fringe Bandana is inspired by my popular Magic Fringe Shawl, and this bandana version brings all the same excitement in a smaller, versatile accessory. It features mosaic (slipped-stitch) colorwork, garter-stitch stripes, and—of course—the signature Magic Fringe technique. With this pattern, you’ll work with just one color at a time, so no worries about tension, carrying yarn, or ends to weave in! Magic Fringe Bandana Pattern Highlights Techniques: Mosaic colorwork (slipped stitch), garter stitch, and fringe that forms as you knit! Color Choice: This project shines with two contrasting colors (solid or tonal), which make the mosaic and fringe pop. Level: Perfect for adventurous beginners and beyond, even if you’ve never tried mosaic knitting before. What I’m Looking for in Test Knitters I’m seeking a range of knitters who can: • Follow pattern instructions closely and provide constructive feedback on clarity, yardage, and any improvements • Complete the project by November 20, 2024 • Take high-quality photos of the finished piece that showcase the pattern’s details (optional but appreciated!) Whether you’re a seasoned tester or trying it out for the first time, I’d love to hear from you if you feel excited about the Magic Fringe Bandana! How to Apply If you’re interested, please fill out the application form here. In the form, I’ll ask about: 1. Your knitting experience 2. Links to your IG or Ravelry (if available) 3. Confirmation that you’re comfortable with the timeline and available to provide feedback 4. The yarn you plan to use I’ll review applications and select testers who represent a variety of skill levels and styles to ensure the pattern works for everyone. Thank you so much for considering a test of the Magic Fringe Bandana! I can’t wait to see this bandana come to life on your needles and am so excited to work together to bring it to the knitting community. Happy knitting, Shaina (YumiYarns) 🧶💕
