Gaugetastic Cowl
I love the look of knitted stitches. I also love the look of chunky cables, but sometimes I'm not really feeling like making cables. Sometimes I just want to enjoy the process of making a quick, simple stockinette project, but want it to look a bit fancier than plain stockinette... Enter Large-Gauge Stitches and the Gaugetastic Cowl!
Large-Gauge Stitches are created with a crochet hook in knitted fabric before the stitches are bound off. Because of this, you can easily jazz up any piece of simple knitwear without adding more bulk to your project. (A great skill to have in your crafting toolbox!)
This quick cowl uses only 1 skein of DK yarn with the option of adding a contrasting Slub yarn to highlight your Large-Gauge Stitches. Because the fancy steps all happen towards the end of the project, this is the perfect cowl for Zoom knitting since it is worked as stockinette in the round for about 90% of the time.
